4 month check-up

12 lbs, 9 oz = 25th percentile
24 inches = 25th percentile

I am still little, but getting bigger! ...and Dr.Binder says I am very healthy...and I have "resolved feeding issues"!!!! Woo HOO!!!!!

Here I am, waiting for Dr.Binder to come back, and dreading my shots. Yes. They were as bad as I thought they would be.

so cute

Momma just thought I was SO CUTE that she made me post today...so I wouldn't forget what I said...
FIRST - I was playing with my Lego train set. Mahoney was sitting on the track, so I said, "Move Honey! Scuse me. Scuse me, Honey. Please." When he got up I said (so happily) "Oh! Tank you Honey! Tank you!" And then as he walked away I made a deep voice and pretended to be Honey and said, "you wew-come."
SECOND - I was building my train really big and Daddy said, "Oh, Memphis...you're building ht train so tall!" As I built the train up and up I said, "Woe. I buildin it. My train is SO TALL! Up and up and up, up, up." Then my train fell. "Oh no! Too big. Fall on, my train fall on my head. It falled right on my head. I gotta boo boo. I ok. Let's try again. Buildin it up so tall."

7-29-09...Long Island part 2

Nursing hasn't been going so well (AGAIN) so Momma had to take me back to Long Island to see Dr. Coryllos again. After quite a bit of observation, Dr.Coryllos decided I needed to have my tongue clipped again. (do you notice a pattern here?)
It turns out that my tongue healed funny and the scar tissue was holding part of my tongue down again. It had to go!
I was very brave and did even better this time around. Momma watched the clock... I cried for 1 and a half minutes this time and fell right to sleep. It takes a lot out of you, I tell you! Keep your fingers crossed that it heals better this time.

7-28-09...naughty

What can I say Momma and Daddy? THIS is what happens when you leave a 2-year-old unattended while eating yogurt.

(Note the yogurt is EVERYWHERE...hair, eyelashes, knee, table, chair, floor, hands...and yet only 1 teeny-tiny spot on the bib. Figures.)

7-27-09...water park

Momma took me on a date today. We had sh-vun.

7-26-09...happy feet

Memphis feet = WILLLLLL-MA!!!! "Flinstones...MEET the Flinstones..."

Marylou feet = Momma gave me this new toy today. She said it used to be one of Memphis' favorites. I have to kick, kick my feet to activate it...and I figured it out right away. I think it is amazing! It makes me smile from ear to ear.

7-25-09...MONSTER JAM

I had SO MUCH FUN at Monster trucks (thanks for the tickets Meme!...you paid for the whole seat, but all I needed was THE EDGE)
I sat on Daddy's lap and watched the whole show. I was wiggling and smiling in my seat the whole time. My favorite part was when GRAVEDIGGER came out, and when MAXIMUM DESTRUCTION did donuts right in front of us.

After the show I kept repeating over and over again..."I had fun a wooster trucks. Gravdigger, Max Struction, Toro Loco...did donuts...real loud...jump up so high in da air...AWESOME!"

I even picked out a Gravedigger flag and waved it all around. We hung it up on my bedroom wall when we got home.

Plus, being potty trained is awful fun. I really had to pee pee and the line for the bathroom was SO LONG. Momma told me I had to hold it and I started to cry...so she ran me out into the parking lot and let me pee in the rocks behind a car. Having a boy is great, isn't it Momma?

I got a new dolly today. I love her as much as Memphis loves monster trucks!!!!

7-23-09...Meme's BIG pool

I went swimming!!! FUN!

I made a new friend!!! Creepy.

7-22-09...2 year-old knees

On our way to the park today we stopped at the post office to get the mail. On the way out I decided not to listen to Momma, and to play in the rock bed instead. On my way out I tripped and fell and skinned my knees and I was bleeding! Momma stopped a tteh store to buy me some band-aids and ointment, so I could still go to the park.

Whiel in the back seat, Momm was consoling me. I said, "I boo boos!" Momma said, "What happened?" I answered, "I fall down...falldown at mailbox house...got boo boos. POOR buddy!"
Momma says her favorite part of me being 2 is when I try to explain things I don't know the words for...post office = mailbox house. Makes sense, doesn't it?

7-21-09...Look Momma, Look Daddy...

"I is a LION!!! RRRooooaaaar!!!"

7-20-09...my hair-do

...no matter what Momma does, she just can't seem to get my hair to behave itself.

7-14-09...It's official...

I found my hands...and they ARE amazing!!!

7-13-09...remember?

Today was an Ezri day. Ezri came over to play and we decided to go swimming. We've alwasy LOVED swimming, Ezri and me...We've been swimming buddies since before we could walk! Look - here we are way back in 2007.
Mama says, "You know you're still a little baby when you sleep with your butt up in the air." She says she remember when Memphis used to sleep like this. Mama I am still your little baby!!!!

7-12-09...Marylou's 1st car show

Mama and Daddy took us to the car show in Simsbury that we go to every year. We used our new Sit N Stand stroller again (thanks Grama and Pop!) and we were riding in style!
I found this little car. I said, "Little teddy bear. It's sh-funny." Mama looked and sure enough, there was a little teddy bear there inside the car. Duh Mama. I told you so!

The ya-yas and hot rods were so shiny - I could see Mensmus!

I even found my favorite letter...M! M for Mensmus. M for Mayloo. M for Mama.

I liked this color!

...and I liked how Memphis was such a good big brother to me. He kept peeking back and patting me to make sure I was okay.

When we got home I played pretend with my car and lined them up - just like at a car show. Only I am very clever and lined them up like a rainbow, all by myself. Mama watched me. I just kept singing the song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse over and over to help me line them up right. "Red, orange, yellow...clap, clap...green, blue, purple!" Who says 2-year-olds don't learn from watching TV?

...and I was looking so cute in my lemon outfit that Mama couldn't resist taking some photos of me. Give me lemons and I turn it into lemonade - I'm so sweet!

7-10-09...

I can really grab hold of these toys now!...it's hard work.

I went to Michael's 2nd birthday party today. He had my three of my favorite things there...a swimming pool, KIDS to play with, and CAKE!!!

7-9-09...cooking with Memphis

Blueberry pancakes for all - YUM!!!

7-8-09...tongue un-tied

Well Mama and Daddy took me to Long Island New York to the very best of the best, Dr. Betty Coryllos. She is the very doctor who actually discovered my type of tongue tie - just 9 years ago. I did indeed have what they call a 4th degree tongue tie - which is the furthest back, at the very base of my tongue. She also agreed that the frenulum to my upper lip was much too tight. Mama swaddled me up, Dr.Coryllos put some numbing stuff on me, Daddy held my body, Mama held my head, then Dr.Coryllos went snipitty snip snip - and I was all fixed. Oh, don't kid yourself. It wasn't QUITE that easy in person...but Dr.Coryllos was AMAZING! Just a few minutes after the procedure I was already sticking my tongue out and about and wiggling it all around. Mama says she notices a difference in my latch already - YAY!
Here I am right after the procedure - I sure was tuckered out!

When we got home I rested all wrapped up in my Miracle Blanket - GOSH I love this thing.

upper lip frenulum - BEFORE - see how tight it was?
AFTER - that's much better!
Mama doesn't dare lift up my tongue yet to get a good picture, but it is much better too.
THANK YOU for all your prayers and well wishes. It feels special to be so loved and cared for!
